About Me - Dayton Moody

Hey! I’m Dayton Moody, a Kansas City–born photographer with five years of experience behind the camera! I’m always experimenting, learning new techniques, and finding ways to push my work a little further. Every session means something to me — whether I’m photographing seniors, couples, wedding parties, athletes, or professionals, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel real, intentional, and true to you!

I’ve been drawn to creating for as long as I can remember — long before photography ever entered the picture! My parents encouraged me to try just about any creative outlet I could get my hands on, from drawing and painting to skateboarding and dancing. I also grew up playing soccer, which gave me an eye for movement, emotion, and those in-between moments that often go unnoticed. All of that plays a huge role in how I shoot today!

Outside of photography, my faith and the people I love mean everything to me! I’m a Christian who follows Jesus wholeheartedly, and that foundation guides the way I live and create. I’m incredibly grateful for my family, my fiancé Jenna, and my German shepherd, Mercedes — they bring so much joy and purpose into my life and remind me daily why capturing genuine moments matters so much!
